Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) Waist-up porcelain figure of 18th-century
lady with light brown hair in formal arrangement with
horizontal curls at the sides of her face and long
cascading ringlet curls,under a wide-brimmed black bonnet
decorated with orange band and streamers and three large
grey plumes,having dainty pastel costume with painted
roses on sleeves,gold edging,and with arms
extended,holding a letter in her right hand. Excellent
condition except professional restoration to right
fingers. Germany,circa 1910. Property of the Strong
Museum.
