15" (38 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead, bald pate with sculpted grey tousled hair at sides and nape, fully-sculpted ears, incised wrinkles, large rounded nose, closed mouth, grey beard stubble, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings, brown knee-high well-detailed boots, wearing textured silk jacket, silk vest, sash, burgundy pants. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, notable sculpting with superb detail of age lines.
