13" (33 cm.) h. x 12"w. x 6"d. The carved wooden chaise a porteur has original carrying handles at each end, beveled glass windows all around, hinged doors on each side, cast bronze steps, and original gold leaf finish with painted cherubs and floral designs. The interior is lined with original padded silk upholstery and has two upholstered seats. Structurally excellent, the finish is original with rubs to finish. French, late 18th century.
