Description
11" (28 cm.) Two-piece ensemble features an oval porcelain
base with highly-stylized Art Deco geometric designs upon
which a classic figure of Pierrot is kneeling,balancing
the legs of a flapper-style ballerina. The legs terminate
in a bowl-shaped dish which holds the powder puff lower
torso of the ballerina,who is posed with head tossed
backward and arms languidly stretched to the side,having
short black curls,painted orange earrings and slave
bracelets,and gold beaded necklace. Excellent
condition,possible restoration to two fingers of dancer.
Impressed 6072 on base. Germany,circa 1915.
