Description
6 1/2" (17 cm.) Seated on the lid of a turtle-shaped
porcelain powder box is a blue snail upon which is seated
a little child with blue garland of flowers in her short
blonde hair,her ankles crossed,and a bounty of yellow
fruit held in her lap; the turtle head is leaned
precariously backward as it attempts to eat the fruit
which the little child is holding out. Incised 4154
