Description
9 1/2" (24 cm.) The two-piece porcelain powder box
ensemble features a young lady with black cropped flapper
hair style being balanced upon the knee of Pierrot. The
lady has exaggerated eye make-up,extended right arm with
two pointing fingers,the left arm wrapped around her
back,with painted pink and magenta stylized dress whose
skirt forms the powder jar; Pierrot has classic black and
white costume and is posed upon an oval porcelain base
with geometric black and white design. Incised illegible
numbers. Germany,circa 1915.
