Description
6" (15 cm.) Waist-up porcelain figure of lady with deeply-sculpted shaded dark hair with large looped knot at the back and sides of face,long tumbling curls onto her shoulders,and a defined curl at the center forehead; her hair decorated by a tiny Dresden bluets and leaves with a rose above each ear,painted blue necklace and blouse that is both elaborately sculpted and decorated at front and back. Her head is sculpted inclined forward with painted downcast brown eyes,and her arms are sculpted bent at the elbows with daintily-posed fingers. With blue stamp (see photo). Excellent condition except restoration to one finger of left hand. Germany,circa 1890. Property of the Strong Museum.
