Description
6" (15 cm.) An octagon-shaped box with lacquered cream
finish decorated with delicate gold and green
tooling,springs opens when the wreath-shaped silver handle
is pushed down. When the box is closed,the opening system
is secret. The box has red silk faille lining and 11
fitted compartments and thimble holder,each with original
sewing or toilette tool and mirror. Excellent
condition,the set is complete. French,late 18th century.
