necessaire in the shape of a grand piano with inlay bone
faux keys on the lid,has shapely legs,mother-of-pearl key
escutcheon with working key and hinges open to reveal a
mirror back with bi-color velour cord framing,and a
luxuriously-fitted purple velvet interior containing
original sewing tools,comprising silver
scissors,stiletto,needlecase,thimble,needle,four mother-
of-pearl winders,glass bottle,and needlecase,and pincers
and an embroidered velvet panel. Hidden beneath is a fine
two-tune music box with 14 sections,5 teeth per
section,and manual change,having gorgeous sound. Excellent
condition. music functions well. French,circa 1825.
