Description
14" (36 cm.) l. x 8"d. x 4"h. The sewing box of richly-
grained exotic veneers has fancily-shaped top and rounded
front and sides,with bone-edged key hole,and richly-
designed with marquetry floral inlays,and inlay designs of
scissors,thimble and needle case. The lid opens to blue
velvet lined lid,and marbleized paper lining of three
compartments,and with four flattened-ball feet. Excellent
condition. Vienna,late 18th century.
