1 1/2" (4 cm.) h. 8" unfolded. Pressed brass book-shaped
case with gilt finish unfolds six brass envelopes for
holding needles. Named ?The Beatrice",the case was the
first patented brass needle case,made by J.W.
Lewis,Birmingham Jeweler and Goldsmiths,in 1867. Excellent
condition. English,1867.
