23" (58 cm.) w. 13"h. Within the glass-sided mahogany cabinet is a parlor setting suggesting a soon-to-occur wedding, centered by a pair of porcelain shoulderhead dolls, each with sculpted black hair and painted facial features, muslin body, porcelain limbs, wearing fine antique wedding costumes of bride and groom. The dolls are posed alongside several pieces of fine Walterhausen furnishings, beneath a hanging lamp with cranberry glass shade; other features include birdcage, framed images on furniture, engravings on wall, and more. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1885.
