Description
3 1/2" (9 cm.) Heavily-enameled sewing necessaire with
raised cartouche and beading designs has eight different
painted scenes on the sides and a scene on the cap which
appears to point to the sun. The box has gilt bronze frame
which hinges open to a brass interior containing two sewing
tools. Excellent condition. Late 18th century.
