Description
12" (30 cm.) Arranged upon a wooden platform with floral-laced trellis and floral-lithographed paper cover is a tea party comprising three bisque head dolls seated at a wooden table with lace cover, set with silvered metal tea service; the dolls are wearing original silk and lace costumes and cap; when wound from porcelain-tipped handle at the front, the dolls lift their heads up and down, and alternately lift tea cups and spoons. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 13/0. Comments: Germany, Zinner and Sohne with original heads by Gebruder Heubach, circa 1890. Value Points: well-preserved charming vignette scene with well-functioning mechanism.
