Description
13" (33 cm.) x 11" x 7"h. at back,and 4"h. at front. The
slant-top sewing box of elaborate inlay designs on top and
sides,has flattened ball-feet,cast ball studs,and a large
framed needlework pincushion centering the lid. The entire
interior is covered with hand-painted paper with raised
design and there is a marquetry wood panel with floral
design at the center inside lid. The base has built in
shelves,and the case is bound with large cast iron
handmade hinges,and has its original lock and key.
Excellent condition. Vienna,Baroque era,circa 1750.
