15" (38 cm.) Modeled socket head depicting a plump-faced young toddler, decal/painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with impression of slight overbite, well-defined philtrum, original blonde mohair bobbed wig, carved wooden bent-limb baby body, white gown, panties and socks appear original. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Schoenhut, this doll, known as "Frieda" sculpted as a portrait of family member Frieda Schoenhut, is believed to be a prototype design by Harry Schoenhut and never put in actual production, circa 1920. Value Points: extremely rare doll is preserved in pristine condition, with most endearing expression.
