Description
14" (36 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of round-faced young girl, blue sculpted snood enclosing her hair, enamel eyes, open mouth with row of teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and brown shoes with red buckles, wearing original villager costume and carrying miniature tambourine. Excellent condition, costume slightly dusty. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
