5" (13 cm.) x 3". With mother-of-pearl veneers in elegant pattern and having gilt framing, escutcheon and borders that enclose a glass-covered watercolor depicting the promenade walk at the old ramparts at Burg Bastey in Vienna featuring the awning-front building, and a wide tree-lined promenade in which more than 16 men and women in fashionable attire are parading. The case opens to a mirrored back with blue edging, and a dark blue velvet fitted lining containing original mother-of-pearl sewing tools comprising scissors, folding knife,unusually-shaped stiletto, winder, rare folding ruler, and silver thimble.
