Description
7" (18 cm.) l. by 5"d. x 3 1/2"h. The wooden sewing box
with overall mother-of-pearl veneer in elaborate design
that is enhanced by inked incised scrolls,and featuring a
six-panel angled top with center medallion,has a key and
keyhole,and opens to a mirrored back with rose cord edging
and a fitted velvet tray for the mother-of-pearl sewing
tools that are laid within,comprising scissors with pot of
flowers design on handle and gold thimble design
attachment to the blades,needle case in the shape of a
parasol with gargoyle hand grip,knife,stiletto with
fleuer-de-lis handle and thimble-shaped gold
accent,winder,thimble,and bodkins. Beneath the tray of
tools is a storage compartment. Excellent condition.
