4 1/2" (11 cm.) The tubular-shaped porcelain etui,designed
to hold needles,stiletto,bodkins and other slender sewing
tools has raised designs,and is decorated with exquisite
dainty wildflowers in vibrant colors,including designs at
both caps. The gold fittings at the center separate for
access to the hollow interior. Germany,Meissen,circa 1770.
