Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) Of fine porcelain the cylindrical needle
case is topped by a sculpted figure of elegant woman with
highly-refined painting of features,having sculpted hair
and hair ornaments,along with a long shawl that wraps
around the back of her head in a graceful manner,and with
other hand-painted details including woman frolicking in
the garden,and various dainty flowers and a bug; there is
a painted flower at the bottom cap. The case separates at
the center with gold fittings having incised decorations.
Excellent condition. Germany,Kloster Veilsdorf,circa 1765.
