Description
9" (23 cm.) x 6 1/2"h. The unusually designed,probably
one-of-a-kind,eight-sided sewing box of finest woods
features a smaller matching cabinet attached to the
lower,and has beveled edges,eight ebony ball feet,bone
inlay panels,bone and wooden geometric inlay panels,a
large oval mother-of-pearl medallion at the top with blue
outlined carved hunting scene,and a framed miniature
painting of mountains and streams,with mother-of-pearl
escutcheon and two keys. The interior is lined with green
velvet on the lower box,and green paper and silk with
mirror on the top. Excellent condition.
