19" (48 cm.) x 10" x 9". The box-shaped room of lightwood with paper cover hinges open at top and sides to reveal an elaborate parlor,with two windows at the rear having original decorated valances and magenta silk curtains with silk fringe and lace lining,original wall-papers and floor papers to simulate tapestry carpet with with three ormolu-framed wall mirrors and original wooden furnishings with original white painted finish,decoupage decoration and magenta silk upholstery to match the curtains,comprising fireplace and mantel,upright piano,settee,table,four chairs,piano stool,and jardiniere with flowers. Decorations include an ormolu clock with figural design of a woman and two double-arm candle holders. Superbly-preserved with vibrant rich colors and entirely-original. French,circa 1890.
