14" (36 cm.) h. The wooden high tester bed with laced bed spring is completely fitted with golden silk and brocades, the four testers upholstered in golden silk and with decorative metallic banding, the roof top of fine early silk with interwoven embroidery, linen side panels under outer pleated side panels, and with overall braid, tassel and fringed accents including a woven circular crown on the inside roof. Excellent condition. English, 1700s, an outstanding and well-preserved early doll furnishing.
