Bisque socket head with ebony black complexion,brown glass paperweight inset eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted black curled lashes,black brush-stroked brows,accented eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth with coral-shaded lips,pierced ears,black fleecy wig over Steiner pate,Steiner black composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre A 19 (head) (original Steiner paper label on torso). Comments: Jules Steiner,circa 1888,possibly created for presentation at the 1889 Paris International Exposition.
