Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks and throat,small brown glass sleep eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,arched feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with a row of painted teeth between the outlined lips,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig,early composition and wooden body with attached ball-joints,straight wrists,and jointed ankles,lovely antique woolen and velvet dress,undergarments,brown woven stockings,leather shoes with leather rosettes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10. Comments: Kestner,circa 1885,the rare facial model closely resembles Bru's early bebe known as circle/dot. Value Points: very expressive features with especially fine modeling of cheeks,painted teeth,rare body with jointed ankles,original body and body finish.
