17" (43 cm.) Each has felt socket head with pressed and painted facial features,brown eyes,solemn expression,felt arms and legs with jointing at shoulders and hips,the girl with blonde wig in long braids,wearing vibrant felt costume with applique designs,cotton blouse with rick-rack trim,red boots with embroidery,and very elaborate matching head-dress; and the boy with auburn wig,and wearing Cossack style costume with applique trim,and embroidered boots. Condition: generally excellent,slight dustiness on muslin veil of girl,and boy's jacket faded. Comments: Lenci,circa 1930,from 300 series,depicting Russian boy and girl in traditional costumes. Value Points: wonderfully detail vibrant costumes,the little pair have painted eyes designed to be looking at each other.
