Pressed bisque swivel head on bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades,plump cheeks and chin,amber-brown glass paperweight inset eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted lashes,incised eyeliner,mauve-blushed eye shadow,brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with defined tongue tip between the accented lips,pierced ears,very full and soft blonde mohair wig over cork pate,plump kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees,curved kid arms with bisque forearms and hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose (front shoulder plate) (circle/dot symbol on head) No.8 Bru Jne (shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,an early period bebe,circa 1880,known as "circle/dot" model. Value Points: an especially fine example of the early period Bru bebe wih exceptional quality of deep sculpting especially around eyes and mouth,choice bisque and painting,original very sturdy and strong body,perfect and beautifully-sculpted hands,with especially charming antique costume with hand-embroidered details on the dress,silk bonnet,leather shoes,knit socks,undergarments.
