Rosy-complexioned poured wax child doll with plump cheeks,has blue glass inset eyes with heavily-modeled eyelids,painted eyebrows,lashes,and nostrils accent dots,closed mouth in downcast solemn expression,brunette mohair inserted wig,softly-stuffed original muslin body with poured wax lower limbs. Condition: generally excellent except simple restoration to left arm. Comments: England,circa 1870,in the Montanari manner. Value Points: the large wax child with original body and hair has most beautiful expression and complexion,and is wearing her outstanding original blue silk gown with matching cape,undergarments,stockings,shoes,and a splendid bonnet.
