20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head,amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes,dark thick eyeliner,painted lashes,rose blushed eye shadow,brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows,accented eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth with outlined lips,pierced ears,brunette human hair wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body,nicely costumed in the French style,with antique ruffled bonnet and antique leather shoes with silk rosettes marked M.L. Condition: generally excellent,original body finish albeit scuffing on lower legs,tiniest flake at bottom right eye. Marks: C.F./C. Comments: Cosman Freres,who registered their Splendide Bebe in 1893. Value Points: beautiful creamy bisque with very fine painting of features,especially around the eyes,original body.
