Bisque socket head,dark brown glass paperweight inset eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with outlined and shaded lips,heart-shaped upper lip,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig on cork pate,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Mascotte K (head) Bebe Mascotte Paris (body). Comments: May Freres,Paris,circa 1890,the model was registered in that year and made for two or three years only. Value Points: rare model with very fine sculpting enhanced by rich brown eyes,vividly painted lashes and eyeliner,and rose blushed eye shadow,original signed body with original finish,and wearing antique sailor costume with matching sailor cap lettered "Espiegle",undergarments,stockings,leather shoes.
