16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, slightly-parted lips with square-cut upper teeth, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden eight loose-ball jointed body with straight wrists, lovely costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 979 9. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: very expressive features are enhanced by finest bisque with gleaming patina of softly blushed face, original body and body finish.
