Bisque socket head,brown glass sleep eyes,dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,rose-blushed eye shadow,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented eye corners and nostrils of pointy-tip nose,closed mouth with outlined lips,brunette human hair wig over cork pate,early German composition and wooden body with loose ball joints at shoulders and elbows,straight wrists,plump torso. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10. Comments: Kestner,circa 1882,their model closely resembling the French bisque bebe A.T. by Thuillier,whose market this Kestner doll aimed to capture. Value Points: the rarity of the most appealing shy-faced child is enhanced by beautiful bisque and painting,original body and body finish,pretty antique costume and bonnet.
