22" (56 cm.) A paper mache donkey with wool plush hide has a loose "nodding" head,glass eyes,original paper harness and flannel saddle blanket,and is attached to a wooden two-wheeled farm cart with driver's seat. When pulled along,the donkey's head bobs up and down. Excellent condition. Germany,circa 1900. The cart has the original paper label of Lenoble,the French firm that specialized in making toy horses and other animals (see The Encyclopedia of French Dolls,page 359). Included is an original catalog of the firm.
