Solid domed bisque socket head with sculpted hair,painted slate-blue downcast eyes,thick upper eyeliner,modeled eyelids,one-stroke tapered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with defined space and two tiny beaded teeth between the outlined lips,brunette mohair wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,wearing antique chambray school dress,undergarments,shoes,stockings and woven bonnet with flowers and ribbons,carrying basket. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 112x 43,Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt,circa 1910,from the firm's art character reform series,the rare "x" variation which was offered with flocked sculpted hair or,as this model,with wig over sculpted hair. Value Points: an especially fine example of the child with anxious expression,having very deeply defined sculpting especially around the mouth,and beautiful bisque and painting,original wig,body,body finish and costume.
