Each has paper mache head with flanged neck depicting a legendary figure from puppet theatre annals,with sculpted and painted facial features,hair,and hat,and including laughing or grimacing expressions,with paper mache hands,original cloth costumes over hollow bodies,wooden lower legs with painted shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1885. Value Points: especially fine detail of characterization,original costumes,and fine original state of preservation.
