Porcelain shoulder head with plump facial modeling,painted blue eyes with downcast expression,thick upper eyeliner lending dreamy look,all-around delicate painted lashes,lightly-feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with center accent line,blonde mohair wig over original lambswool cap and cork pate,gutta percha body from the original Huret designs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (Huret stamp on front torso). Comments: Adelaide Huret,an early model,circa 1857. Value Points: the beautiful doll with original sturdy body is wearing fine original brown silk dress with braid trim over chemisette,undergarments,ruffled cap,and leather ankle boots in the antique style. Included with the doll is her original trunk with French label and an extensive trousseau comprising three additional gowns (two with the Huret signature on the inside waist),five bonnets,black velvet hooded cape,seaside two-piece suit,fur collar and cuff in original box,white cashmere jacket,double-tiered black lace cape,various undergarments including wired hoop,along with rare accessories which include a pair of brown leather shoes signed Huret a Paris,bone-handled parasol with fringed blue silk cover in original box with Palais Royal label,miniature blue sewing bag,leather purse,folding fan,little box of playing cards,masquerade face mask,miniature game "Qui epouserai-je?" (who will I marry?) with wooden spinning top,box of coral beads,comb,and more.
