Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead, darkened ruddy complexion, bald pate with sculpted tufts of curls in front of each ear, enamel eyes, impressed dimples, closed mouth, smiling expression, sculpted wart, tow-wrapped posable armature body, painted blue stockings and tan shoes with red buckles, tow-wrapped armature posable body, wearing silk village costume with gold braid trim. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, especially well-defined expression enhanced by finest artistic painting of complexion and features.
