10" (25 cm.) h. case. 8"h. doll. A firm-sided box with
faux-leather cover to simulate a steamer trunk,hinges open
at the top and front to reveal a little bisque head doll
with blue glass eyes,open mouth,four teeth,brunette mohair
wig,composition fully-jointed body,wearing a rose silk and
lace party dress. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: Germany,circa 1900. Value Points: arranged in
the case is a matching lace-edged jacket to the dress
being worn,an ivory silk four-piece ensemble,a cotton
lace-edged dress with pink ribbons,matching pantalets and
bonnet; and yet another dress inside the front opening
drawer,in all a wonderful presentation with four complete
ensembles.
