Description
18" (46 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with oval-face and
elongated throat,brown sculpted hair looped in front of
her ears and captured in a braided chignon at the
back,elongated throat,painted blue eyes with brown
outlined,single stroke brows,closed mouth,muslin stitch-
jointed body,kid arms,antique costume. Condition: very
good,some craquelure on throat and shoulders,possible
early retouch of paint. Comments: Germany,circa 1845.
Value Points: rare early model with beautifully-detailed
hair including stippling around the sides of
forehead,original body and costume.
