Description
18" (46 cm.) All-wooden doll has one-piece head and
torso,heart-shaped face,very elongated throat and shapely
torso,sculpted yellow tuck comb at her crown and painted
black hair with shaded stippling framing the forehead and
little spit curls in front of each ear,outlined painted
brown eyes,fringed brows,closed mouth,blushed
cheeks,dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees.
Condition: original finish with craquelure on face and
shoulders,left thumb and left toe tip chipped. Comments:
Grodnertal,circa 1820. Value Points: wonderful size with
well-formed body to accommodate fashions of the
era,original finish,beautiful eyes.
