15" (38 cm.) Poured wax shoulder-head with rosy
complexion,blue glass inset eyes,tinted facial
features,blonde hair inserted into wax scalp,softly-
stuffed muslin body with poured wax lower arms and legs.
Condition: very good,some fading on painting of facial
features,one leg discolored. Marks: (original stamp from
Hamley's of Regent Street). Comments: English,Pierotti
type,circa 1870,the doll was presented at the prestigious
London toy store of Hamley's. Value Points: wearing
original costume with handmade rick-rack,the doll is
presented in trunk with three additional gowns,pique
coat,and green silk dress,along with an early journal book
and various other accessories.
