Description
19" (48 cm.) Standing upon a velvet-covered wooden base is
a bisque head doll with large brown glass paperweight
inset eyes,lushly-painted lashes,dark eyeliner,brush-
stroked brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with shaded
lips,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig over cork
pate,carton torso and legs,wire upper arms,bisque
forearms,lovely teal blue velvet and ivory satin costume
with woven bonnet,undergarments. Condition: generally
excellent,professional restoration to right hand fingers.
Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 4 (doll). Comments:
Leopold Lambert,circa 1888,when wound,music plays and the
little girl turns her head from side to side,nods,and
alternately lifts powder puff and mirror. Value Points:
charming automaton is enhanced by very beautiful face with
large dramatic paperweight brown eyes.
