Description
19" (48 cm.) Standing upon a velvet-covered platform is a
bisque-head lady with brown glass paperweight inset
eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,brush-stroked
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with outlined
lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig in braided
coronet,lady-shaped torso and long slender legs,wire upper
arms,bisque forearms,very fine ivory satin dress with lace
trim,matching shoes,and holding a glass perfume bottle and
hankie. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete
Jumeau Bte SGDG 1 (and artist checkmarks,on head).
Comments: Roullet et Decamps,circa 1890,when wound,the
lady turns her head side to side,then dabs cologne into
her hankie,then nods her head forward,and dabs her face
with cologne,while music plays. Value Points: beautiful
and perfectly-functioning automaton with strong lovely
music,rare lady body shape.
