14" (36 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with sculpted
short brown curly bobbed hair held by a sculpted blue
painted hair ribbon and bow,painted facial
features,intaglio pale blue side-glancing eyes,black and
red upper eyeliner,feathered brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth with smiling expression and row of
beaded teeth,composition and wooden ball-jointed body.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5 Heubach (square)
7763 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach,circa 1910,the
model is known as "Coquette". Value Points: especially
fine sculpting detail of hair and facial laughter
lines,choice bisque and painting,original body and body
finish,and wearing original mariner costume,holding paper
mache hobby horse.
