15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with heart-shaped face,small blue glass sleep eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,short feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with outlined lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2033 BSW (in heart) 537. Comments: Bahr and Proschild for Bruno Schmidt,circa 1912,the model is known by collectors as "Wendy". Value Points: outstanding example of the most endearing child,characterized by beautifully-shaped upturned nose,shaped chin,small eyes and full generous lips,original body,body finish,wig,wearing wonderful antique costume,undergarments,bonnet,and fancy leather shoes,and with original (frail) box and factory chemise.
