Description
11" (28 cm.) l. 12" h. One piece figurine depicts a young child with sculpted curly blonde hair, intaglio blue downcast eyes with heavily modeled eyelids, closed mouth, two painted teeth, impressed dimples, loosely-draped smock with ruffled collar, seated in an oversized shoe with worn hole at the toes through which the baby's own toes are protruding. The shoe has original lacing holes fitted with silk ribbon lacing which the baby holds in his extended arms as though he is actually lacing the shoe. Excellent condition. Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910, an exceptional model in grand size which enhances the sculpting details.
