12" (30 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead depicting aged man with deeply-incised wrinkles, bald pate with tinted stubble around the back of scalp, tinted beard stubble, sculpted ears, enamel eyes, pronounced nose and chin, open mouth, sculpted partially toothless, tow-wrapped posable armature body, painted green stockings, red painted shoes, wearing silk jacket, velvet vest, plaid short pants, and cap. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
