Description
15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head,brown painted
boyish hair with modeled forelock curl,small blue glass
sleep eyes,painted lashes,dark eyeliner,short tapered
brows,closed mouth with downcast lips,composition and
wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip
jointing,antique costume. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: K*R S&H 115/38. Comments: Kammer and
Reinhardt,circa 1912,the model known as "Phillip",the
wistful faced character model was inspired by the 17th
century bust of a young child by Francois Duquesnoy,as was
the first series facial model of Kathe Kruse. Value
Points: rare sculpted hair model has finest quality of
bisque and painting,original toddler body with original
finish.
