15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head,brown painted boyish hair with modeled forelock curl,small blue glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,dark eyeliner,short tapered brows,closed mouth with downcast lips,composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing,antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R S&H 115/38. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt,circa 1912,the model known as "Phillip",the wistful faced character model was inspired by the 17th century bust of a young child by Francois Duquesnoy,as was the first series facial model of Kathe Kruse. Value Points: rare sculpted hair model has finest quality of bisque and painting,original toddler body with original finish.
