10" (25 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with thickly-sculpted
and impasto-painted black "lambswool" cap that encloses
all the head except face,blue painted eyes,black upper
eyeliner,single-stroke brows,sloping nose,closed
mouth,muslin stitch-jointed body,porcelain limbs.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa
1860. Value Points: very rare sculpted and hand-pressed
cap,with fine antique purple wool
costume,undergarments,and with real lambswool muff.
